Strange Aeons: The Thing on the Doorstep, directed by Eric Morgret featuring

music by composer Richard Temple (Untraceable, Ghost Rider), is a unique

tale about the unfortunate match between scholar Edward Derby, and Asenath

Waiteùa young heiress with mysterious hypnotic powers. Soon after their

marriage, Edward exhibits severe mood swings and radical personality

changes. What is the source of Asenanth's sway over Edward? What influence

does her deceased sorcerer father (Ephraim Waite) have over her? The only

thing standing between Asenath and her unspeakable plans to sow death and

madness is Edward's graduate advisor, professor Dan Upton. But is Dan too

late to stop what has been set into motion? The film includes English

subtitles, audio commentary by director and screenwriter, a bonus "making

of" featurette, and slideshow.

 

Also on this DVD are Patrick Weber's short film Maria's Hubris (also based

on Lovecraft's Thing on the Doorstep) and the animated shorts From Beyond by

Michael Granberry and Don't Feed the Book by Robin Ator. Bonus features

include: an interview with director John Carpenter, teasers from the H.P.

Lovecraft Film Festival, trailers for upcoming films, and a four-page

booklet.

Vol. 1-3 habe ich und muss sagen, dass einige schöne Lovecraft-Schnippsel drauf sind. Aber hoffen wir mal bald, dass vll. Pegasus die DVDs auch mit ins Angebot aufnimmt. Für Fans von HPL und Leute die sich keine Flugtickets zum HPL Filmfest leisten können: empfehlenswert! 8)
