Umsetzungen für Nintendo DS und Wii sollen folgen!

For a while now there has been great speculation about a Zombies!!! video game. Well, if you have been waiting for something official, Here it is:

 

Zombies!!! to Become Video Game

 

The immensely popular Zombies!!!® Board Game is set to hit the video game world in 2009. Twilight Creations, Inc., the publishers of the game, has reached an agreement with Big Rooster, LLC, an entertainment software company, to develop the Zombies!!! board game into a video game property.

 

Initially the game will be developed for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the Steam online game distribution website according to Timothy Gerritsen, Executive Director of Big Rooster. Later releases may include the Nintendo DS and Wii systems.

 

Zombies!!! is a perfect game for the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation 3 Network, said Mr. Gerritsen. We were surprised that no one had seen the huge potential in the Zombies!!! property.

 

Originally released in 2001, Zombies!!! has been a consistent seller and is considered one of the core products in the hobby-game industry. The base set has sold over 125,000 copies worldwide. It has also spawned many expansions and spin-offs. Combined, Zombies!!! products have sold in excess of 300,000 units.

 

In Zombies!!! players race around the board trying to find a way to escape the ever-growing zombie horde. The game is simple to play and extremely addictive according to its fans. The tile based board and the many expansions work to keep the game fresh and new each time you play it.

 

We are tremendously excited, said Twilight Creations President Todd Breitenstein adding, This is a great opportunity for both of our companies. Zombies!!! is a great property and we really cant wait to share it with a much broader audience.

 

Twilight Creations, Inc., founded in 2002, is a Kentucky board game publisher based in the city of Cold Spring. In addition to the Zombies!!! line, Twilight Creations also publishes many successful lines such as the Haunting House series and ZombieTown.

 

Big Rooster, LLC is a videogame development company based in Madison Wisconsin and was founded in 2006 by a group of videogame industry veterans. Big Rooster develops games for the PC and for latest generation game systems, such as Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

Ich werd die Breitensteins auf der Spiel 08 mal genauer aushorchen (Halle 6 Stand 139).

Ich drücke die Daumen das die sich mit "Big Rooster" den richtigen Entwickler gesucht haben.

 

Big Rooster sollte schon mal mit Capcom das Brettspiel Talisman als Computerspiel entwickeln,

was aber leider wieder eingestampft wurde

 

In einer E-Mail von Kerry vom Wochenende hat sie noch geschrieben

das Zombies!!! 5 Second Edition im Frühjahr/Januar 2009 erscheinen wird.

 

Die Humans!!! Lizenz wurde wohl leider noch nicht ins Ausland verkauft (Pegasus wir brauchen Euch!)

 

Zombies!!! 8 und Humans!!! 2 werden auf jedenfall nächstes Jahr erscheinen.

das sind ja mal wirklich ne ganze Menge neuer interessanter Zombie-News! Danke für die Infos, Beach!

Das Spiel ist also schon jetzt Pflichtkauf für mich, egal ob 360 oder PC! Bleibt zu hoffen, dass es nicht eine weitere grottige, gähnend langweilige Brettspielumsetzung wird, wie es schon mit manchem guten Brettspiel geschehen ist! Aber egal, gehört in die Sammlung!

 

DIe Bitte von Beachhead an Pegasus sich die deutsche Lizenz für Humans!!! zu angeln, unterstütze ich natürlich ebenso!

Wie man es von den Breitensteins kennt, sind sie Fortsetzungsliebhaber und wenn Humans 2 schon angekündigt ist, wird sich die Sache auch langfristig für beide Verlage lohnen!

Ich dachte, du bist erst 14...da musste aber leider mit Left 4 Dead noch warten, denn DAS ist definitiv -bei allem was ich schon davon gesehen habe- erst ab 18....auch bei der verstümmelten, gekürzten erscheinenden deutschen Version! (Ich liebe Ösi-Importe für Erwachsene, hehe!) Das ich mich auf das Spiel auch wie n Schneekönig freue muss ja nicht gesagt werden!

 

Ansonsten warten wir mal das kommende Jahr ab, was uns noch alles für untote Neuigkeiten erwarten!

ja ich weiß, bin aber schon 15 , ma schauen, vllt. holt es sich nen Kumpel. Wills aufjedenfall i-wie haben, kann man bestimmt geil auf Lan zoggen^^

zumindest sehen die Bilder und Videos ziemlich geil aus

vllt. wirds ja ne stark verkürzerte Version ab 16 davon geben , aber wahrscheinlich nich....

Verdammte USK, sind bestimmt auch nur so Zombies
