Loki
It's a historic (90s) TTRPG where the players are playing players playing TTRPGs, namely Dungeons and Dragons, Cyberpunk 2020, Shadowrun and Ars Magica. I wanted to make things chronologically accurate, so I needed to find a fixed date for it to start at within the world I'm creating, but one of my players is adamant about playing a character who is playing a runner with some sort of connection to Hestaby, so I needed to know a chronological date within our timeline that I could set the game in. Like I said, metagame.Erklärung 2 I was inspired by the Generic Roleplayer Jump over at r/Jumpchain, and decided it might be interesting to run RPGs inside RPGs with players who love RPGs and playing RPGs with other people. The current idea is to run the overarching game either BRP or CofD, then, within that RPG, run the other systems; as the characters in the internal RPGs level up, the characters who play those characters would also gain experience, which they could then spend to improve their characters to become better roleplayers... or be better at their regular life, etc.
Edited June 30, 2019 by Loki
