Case_Undefined
Und noch ein wenig mehr Infos: Chaosium blew through $500,000 of Call of Cthulhu Kickstarter money and almost went bankrupt again (for the third time following the 1985 Avalon Hill & 1998 Mythos card game crises).Rick Meints, Jeff Richards, Michael O'Brien and Neil Robinson of Moon Design will be the management team running the newly reorganised business.Greg Stafford & Sandy Petersen are to remain as the Board of Directors.Glorantha and Runequest properties are to return to Chaosium.Call of Cthulhu 7th print edition will be a Hallowe’en 2015 release. How Kickstarter stretch goals are to be fulfilled is still to be determined.A lot of money was lost on shipping Kickstarter products (as we surmised previously in Cthulhu Breakfast Club). The monographs series is dead (get them while you can).Chaosium will be heavily supporting fiction lines along with a move back into board games and card games. There are no plans to update the main BRP rules set in light of CoC 7th edition changes.Chaosium remains focused on Call of Cthulhu.http://www.yog-sothoth.com/articles.html/_/main/moon-design-take-the-reins-at-chaosium Edited July 31, 2015 by Case_Undefined
Puklat

Case_Undefined
Case_Undefined
Als hätte Sandy es geahnt ... doch ein Update heute: Q) Does the company have any plans for future Gaslight books? Sandy – with Moon’s taking over the reins, the company is in flux, and all such questions, so far as I know, are TBD. Q) what chances of Stormbringer making a come back?Sandy – at this time Chaosium does not have the license. Q) Whose project was SB originally, anyway?Sandy – Ken St. Andre wrote it. It never really had a “champion” at Chaosium, which was kind of its problem. We all liked it, and loved its sales. It was like the “good kid” who gets ignored by his parents because he never causes any problems. Q) Any idea about whether there'll be a kickstarter? (For Beyond the Mountains of Madness?) not until CoC7 is completely, utterly, fuilfilled. Q) (lots of BRP questions)Sandy – the fate of BRP is TBD, now that Runequest AND Glorantha are both back at Chaosium. Q) I know you have mentioned briefly that (Pendragon and) Stormbringer might be on the table down the road. Would this stay under Runequest or be again similar to the original Chaosium version I had as a kid? Also any chance of bringing Lankhmar over wit it ( I think they are both owned by Mongoose right now)? Any chance of seeing the Malleus Monstrorum converted to 7e? Sandy – I think I can pretty much guarantee that Chaosium is so busy getting organized that Pendragon, Stormbringer, BRP, Lankhmar, and all else can only be considered at a much later date. Remember please that it has been less than a month since Moon Design took over. Q) Have you considered, for 7th, creating or promoting the creation of video examples of play or a streamed campaign for audiences accustomed to understanding how a games is played through twitch/youtube?Sandy – the new Chaosium is a little friendlier to social media than the old. Your idea makes sense. Q) but why are Innsmouth and Kingsport not available as PDF?Sandy – heck, I’ve been wondering for over a year why the fiction books aren’t on Kindle! Q) Hi, with the announcement that Chaosium/Moon Design is going to start working on boardgames, is that going to change the relationship with Fantasy Flight Games?Sandy – Chaosium / Moon Design are not working on boardgames. Petersen Entertainment (my company) is working on boardgames, and licensing topics from Chaosium. So my relationship is pretty much exactly the same as Fantasy Flight’s (except that FFG is a far bigger and more successful company). Dumon
